Rules and scoring system
Peaks
Each peak (waypoint) is defined with coordinates, a radius, and a type. For a peak to be marked, the flight or hike track must cross the radius.
3 Peak Types
Hike & Fly (standard)
Can be marked either on foot or in the air

Fly only (paraglider symbol)
Can only be marked in flight. It is checked whether the pilot never stays within the radius below 10 km/h for more than 20 seconds.

Hike only (hiker symbol)
Can only be marked on foot. It will be checked whether the pilot has been within the radius for 20 seconds at less than 10 km/h.

☝️ A peak does not necessarily have to be a summit - it can also be another "highpoint", such as a lake, a train station, an alpine hut, etc.
Awarding of points

Example points from the Pinzgau Challenge
Each peak has a difficulty level: "Easy", "Medium", "Hard", "Very Hard"
Each peak has a predefined radius between 50m and 1500m. If your flight or hike track touches the radius, you receive points.
Depending on the difficulty, the peak has different numbers of points:
Simple: 8 points (blue)
Medium: 10 points (red)
Difficult: 12 points (black)
Very Difficult: 14 points (black with yellow writing)
You only get points for the peak once per challenge.
Additionally: You get one point per flight per calendar day for a flight that touches at least one peak (regardless of whether this peak has already been reached or not).
Bonus points through "Proximity"
The simple explanation:
The closer you fly to the center, the more bonus points you get (maximum 2 points).
The exact definition and calculation:

Each peak has a predefined radius. Flying within this radius earns the pilot all the points for that peak.
Additionally, pilots can earn up to 2 bonus points by approaching the center of the peak.
The bonus points increase linearly from 0 points when entering the radius, to 2 points when exactly flying over the coordinates.
The bonus points are rounded to two decimal places.
Bonus points can be improved on another flight.
If you get there on foot (start or walk through), you automatically get the 2 bonus points.
Formula:

☝️ It's worth noting here (as we all know) that flying close to the slope can be dangerous. Especially near the summit, turbulence is often to be expected. It's better to increase the speed or try another day with better conditions. You won't lose any bonus points :-).
Bonus points through "Peak Series"
The simple explanation:
The more peaks you collect in a calendar day, the better your ranking.
The calculation
Starting with the second peak per calendar day (regardless of whether it's on one or more flights), you'll receive 0.5 bonus points for each additional peak. This also applies to peaks you've already achieved on other days.
Formula: (number of peaks - 1) * 0.5

Example: 6 peaks = (6-1) * 0.5 = 2.5 points
An example

Hike&Fly with 3 Peaks (black flying, pink walking)
Flight
1 point for the flight because it touches at least one peak
Peaks

Bonus points peak series
1 bonus point for Peak Series (2 additional "peaks")
In total
1 (flight)+9.98+12+11.93 (peaks)+1 (series)= 35.91 pts.
General rules
All flights uploaded within the predefined time period count toward the challenge. Flights must be submitted by at least the end date of 11:59 PM.
Flights must be submitted within 2 weeks to be counted towards the ranking.
You can register and participate in the challenge at any time before or during the challenge period.
Under certain circumstances, you may only start at predefined starting positions (depending on the challenge).
Landing is permitted anywhere.
Flights that violate aviation laws will be disqualified from the challenge (this is not verified by the system).
Safety and liability
When flying over a peak, avoid flying too close to the terrain. Always maintain a safe distance from the ground.
Be careful of strong thermals and turbulence near summits. If conditions are dangerous, don't attempt to mark the summit. You can try again another day and still receive full points.
Weather conditions: Always check the weather conditions before flying and avoid flying in unsafe conditions.
Please observe airspace and hunting no-fly zones.
Each pilot is responsible for their own safety and requires a valid pilot's license. This is not verified by the platform operator.
