Hike&Fly import from Garmin Connect
Sharing Hike&Fly activities recorded with your Garmin watch is easier now — thanks to the new Garmin Connect import.
Follow these steps to set up Garmin Connect import
- Open Settings.
- Find Garmin Connect [Beta].
- Connect your Garmin Connect account. An in-app browser opens so you can enter your Garmin Connect credentials and allow Sidekik access to your activities.
- From then on you get a notification in the notification centre whenever you upload a hike activity to Garmin Connect.
Important: Only activities whose Garmin type was “Hiking” can be imported. Changing the type later in Garmin has no effect on the import.
Import a new activity
- When a new Garmin activity is ready to import, you get a notification — both as a push notification and in the notification centre.
- You can preview the activity. To bring it into Sidekik, tap “Import”. If it is a hike you do not want in Sidekik, choose “Ignore”.
- After the import the activity appears in the feed and is visible to you and others. Under the map, the Garmin logo shows that it came from Garmin.
