New XP calculation | Sidekik Blog

From 1 January 2026 a simpler XP calculation applies to every activity.

XP for each uploaded activity is gone. Some pilots could previously gain an advantage by uploading the flight and the hike as separate activities — that is no longer possible.

Hike-duration points drop from 20 to 10 XP per 10 minutes.

All activities from 1 January 2026 onwards are recalculated. Rankings — and sometimes your level — may change.

What changed

Before:

Per activity: 100 XP
Per 10 minutes of hike time: 20 XP
Per km of hike distance: 10 XP
Per 10 minutes of airtime: 20 XP
Per 10 km of XC distance: 50 XP

Now:

Per activity: 0 XP
Per 10 minutes of hike time: 10 XP
Per km of hike distance: 10 XP
Per 10 minutes of airtime: 20 XP
Per 10 km of XC distance: 50 XP

Completed missions will also earn XP in the future.
